The Red Raiders vs. Mustangs showdown starts tomorrow night at 7:00 in Dallas. Stay with us all the way up ’til kickoff for the latest updates and live information starting tomorrow.

Now, let’s get to the really interesting stuff. The greatest thing about college football is everyone trying to predict what will happen during the games, regular season and bowl games, and we here at Wreck ‘Em Red are no exception. As the season goes along we’ll get more confident and cocky and start making some pretty wild prognostications, but for now let’s just stick to the basics.

1. First team to score

Robert: Tech. Win the toss, Kliff wants the ball.

Shelby: Tech. I think our defense will hold SMU on their first drive.

2. Total number of turnovers

Robert: Four. Tech gives it away once, but the defense makes up for it with three takeaways.

Shelby: Two. I think our QB will throw one or two interceptions and turn the ball over just due to lack of experience.

3. Over/under Tech rushes for 200 yards

Robert: Over. Kliff wants to run the ball.

Shelby: Over. I think our run game is going to be significantly improved this year.

4. Starting quarterback

Robert: Baker Mayfield. Gut feeling.

Shelby: Baker Mayfield. There’s been a lot of hype about him recently, and I don’t think it’s for nothing.

5. Score

Robert: Tech 21, SMU 13

Shelby: Tech 56, SMU 35
