Here’s some interesting things we found…

Texas Tech’s Unsung Hero: ESPN’s Brandon Chatmon takes a look at unsung heros around the Big 12, including sophomore linebacker Micah Awe. Tech has lots of playmakers in the defensive front seven, and Awe could be a major contributor this season.

Red Raiders Power up in Week 2: ESPN’s Big 12 power rankings for week two have Tech moving up two spots to number six after taking down SMU on Saturday. Kansas State and Iowa State losing to FCS teams might have helped as well.

Players Talk: Jace Amaro, Terrance Bullitt and Jordan Davis spoke with the media after practice Tuesday and talked about preparing for SFA, quarterback Baker Mayfield and turnovers. Tech’s defense is still looking for that first turnover and Bullitt said he’s going to be the one to snag it this Saturday.

Watch it Again: YouTube user TTUfirebird2008 made a habit of posting full game replays on his channel last season and it appears fans can expect more of the same this year. Check out the replay of Tech’s win over SMU.

Possible Future Red Raiders: Our friends over at Viva The Matadors breakdown Tech recruiting stories and look at some prospects who could eventually commit to the Red and Black. This time of year recruiting stories tend to get lost, so it’s nice to see VTM giving it some attention.
