Here’s some cool stuff we found…

Chances Are: Jake Trotter with ESPN.com breaks down the only remaining unbeatens in the Big 12 and analyzes the chances of each getting to 7-0. Tech looks good to go undefeated heading into Norman, Okla. to face the Sooners on Oct. 26.

Unsung Will: Senior linebacker Will Smith is one of this week’s unsung heros writes Brandon Chatmon. This marks the third week in a row a Texas Tech defender has made this list. It’s not prestigious by any means, but it certainly points to the production from this group.

Defensive Royalty: Fox Sports Southwest’s David Ubben names Will Smith the “Fresh Prince of West Texas” and this week’s best defensive performer. We like “Fresh Prince of Defense” better.

Have a Sticker: ESPN’s Max Olson gives freshman quarterback Davis Webb a helmet sticker and an attaboy for reopening the quarterback controversy.

Headliners: Mike DuPont II with the Daily Toreador recounts Tech’s defensive efforts on Saturday. Checkout the digital version of the paper if you can, because the DT is winning the headline battle.
