Did y’all hate the bye-week as much as I did? Yes? Ok. Glad we can be happy this week we will once again have Red Raider football. This week the Red Raiders take on those pesky Jayhawks from Lawrence, Kansas. I say pesky because, well, we saw last year’s almost upset. But here’s to that not happening this year! Now let’s preview this week’s matchup against Kansas.

The game is in Lawrence, so many Red Raider faithful won’t be able to watch it in person – although I applaud you if you do make it. If you’re like me and won’t make it, you’ll still be able to catch it on Fox Sports 1 with Adam Alexander doing play-by-play and Chris Simms as analyst. Texas Tech Sports Network will have the game on all 33 affiliated radio stations, if that’s more your style.

Who: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Kansas University Jayhawks.

What: Big 12 Conference football matchup.

Where: Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas.

When: Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11 a.m.

Texas Tech enters the game as the favorite, but after a close game that went into overtime, we’ll have to see how that plays out. I believe this will be a strong showing for the Red Raiders, and they should make easy work of the beatable Kansas team.

Check back Saturday morning for our Live Game Thread and join the conversation as the game plays out.
