Here’s some cool stuff we found…
LT and KK: Former TCU Horned Frog and San Diego Charger LaDainian Tomlinson goes one-on-one with Kingsbury in this highly entertaining Q&A from Fox Sports Southwest.
“Oh, This Old Thing”: If you’re into this sort of thing, our friends at Viva The Matadors breakdown Kingsbury’s wardrobe from the now famous pregame interview with Chris Simms on Saturday. Yeah, our head coach makes Don Draper look like a hobo.
In and Out: Tired of the 11:00 a.m. kickoffs? Eric Ward isn’t, because he likes taking care of business on the road and getting home. We tend to agree with him, but for different reasons. It makes sense for a family guy like Ward to want to get home to his wife and kid on a Saturday evening.
What Was THAT? With a 10-0 lead, Kansas was making it a very interesting ball game on Saturday before this play completely derailed the Jayhawks and any chance of Kansas ending their 21 (now 22) game Big 12 losing streak.
Big Question Mark: After Mayfield’s injury and the return of Michael Brewer to full health, Tech’s quarterback issues got even more interesting. But don’t worry, they aren’t alone in the Big 12 writes Jake Trotter of ESPN.com.
Key to the Crown: Trotter also writes about how Tech’s quarterback situation is the key to winning the Big 12 this season. We can’t really disagree. Whoever ends up under center needs to play consistently or this season could take a sharp downward turn.
Unsung Eric: After catching seven passes for 122 yards and a touchdown Saturday, Eric Ward returned to his usual form and earned Unsung Hero honors from ESPN.com.
Have a Sticker: For the previously mentioned performance, Ward also earned a helmet sticker from ESPN’s Max Olson.
