Here’s some cool stuff we found…

Mayfield Update: Don Williams of the Avalanche Journal writes about his observations from practice this week, most notably the absence of Baker Mayfield. It doesn’t look like he’ll be available this weekend.

Late Bloomer: Junior defensive lineman Jackson Richards is in the middle of a breakout season, writes Joe Yeager of RaiderPower.com. Richards leads the defense in turnovers with a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Panel Expert: Popular Austin music (and other things) festival SXSW will add a new segment in 2014 called SXSports, series of film screenings and discussion panels about the connections between sports and music. Our very own Kliff Kingsbury will be a panel member.

End Justifies the Means: Once again, Kingsbury is not worried about running the ball, and boldly proclaims they will “throw it every play” is necessary, writes Everett Corder of the Daily Toreador. Hey, as long as we score, I don’t think anyone else cares either.

Renaissance Man: Red Raider, Steeler, chef, artist and all around good guy Baron Batch talks about his life and all the cool stuff he’s into these days during this interview on Double T 104.3 yesterday. Check out his blog, where you can see all of his creations.

Topics: Baker Mayfield, Big 12, Texas Tech Football, Texas Tech Red Raiders
