Tech kicks off Big 12 conference play at Oklahoma State on a Thursday night (September 25) as part of the conference’s TV deal. It’ll be much nicer watching our Thursday game take place elsewhere.
With a tremendous stroke of luck, the Red Raiders only have two true road games in the final eight weeks of the season – at TCU on October 25 and at Iowa State on November 22. Both winnable games.
As part of a solid non-conference schedule, Tech travels to El Paso to face UTEP for the first time since 2006 when the Red Raiders won a thriller in overtime.
After a lackluster menu this season, Texas Tech will have one of the best home schedules in the country next year: Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Kansas and Central Arkansas all travel to Lubbock. Go make a deposit on some season tickets.
Next year’s home contest against Texas on November 1 will be the sixth anniversary of the 2008 game.
