Former Red Raiders in the Playoffs

With the regular season finished, it’s playoff time in the NFL. There are currently seven former Red Raiders still in the playoff picture. Here’s a look at how their season turned out, as well as the playoff matchup this weekend.

Danny Amendola (WR – New England Patriots)
This weekend’s matchup: Indianapolis Colts
Game Time: Saturday, January 11, 7:15 p.m. CST
Amendola had 54 receptions for 633 yards and two touchdowns during the 2013 season.

Bront Bird (LB – San Diego Chargers)
This weekend’s matchup: Denver Broncos
Game Time: Sunday, January 12, 3:40 p.m. CST
Bird had 17 tackles and assisted with 12 more during the regular season.

Michael Crabtree (WR – San Francisco 49ers)
This weekend’s matchup: Carolina Panthers
Game Time: Sunday, January 12, 12:05 p.m. CST
Crabtree had 19 receptions for 284 yards and a touchdown after coming back mid-season from an achilles injury.

Keyunta Dawson (DE – New Orleans Saints)
This weekend’s matchup: Seattle Seahawks
Game Time: Saturday, January 11, 3:35 p.m. CST
Dawson had two tackles and assisted with another one after being dropped by the Titans and resigned by the Saints, and being inactive for a majority of the season.

Manny Ramirez (OL – Denver Broncos)
This weekend’s matchup: San Diego Chargers
Game Time: Sunday, January 12, 3:40 p.m. CST
Ramirez was part of an offensive line that helped the Broncos score 606 total points all season.

Louis Vasquez (OL – Denver Broncos)
This weekend’s matchup: San Diego Chargers
Game Time: Sunday, January 12, 3:40 p.m. CST
Vasquez was a huge part of Denver’s strong offensive line and was selected to play in the Pro Bowl.

Wes Welker (WR – Denver Broncos)
This weekend’s matchup: San Diego Chargers
Game Time: Sunday, January 12, 3:40 p.m. CST
Welker had 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns.
