These are waaay too early, but the Golden Nugget recently released six betting lines for Texas Tech football in 2014 Big 12 conference play.
Sept. 25: Texas Tech at Oklahoma St.
Favorite: Oklahoma St. (-7)
Oct. 4: Texas Tech at Kansas St.
Favorite: Kansas St. (-7)
Oct. 11: West Virginia at Texas Tech
Favorite: Texas Tech (-10)
Nov. 1: Texas at Texas Tech
Favorite: Texas Tech (-1)
Nov 15: Oklahoma at Texas Tech
Favorite: Oklahoma (-10)
Nov. 29: Baylor at Texas Tech (Arlington, Texas)
Favorite: Baylor (-6 1/2)
Assuming Tech is favored against Iowa State and Kansas, and evenly matched with TCU, that means the Red Raiders will only be favored in four of nine conference games this year, which puts them on par for the last few seasons. Basically, Vegas is going off a recent history of blowout losses to Baylor, Kansas St. and Oklahoma St., but still giving Tech a nod with the one-score margins against everyone but league-favorite Oklahoma.
These will certainly change as the season approaches and the wins (or losses) start to pile up, but this should give you a good idea of where the experts expect Tech to finish the season.
