Best defensive player: Pete Robertson
The junior from Longview, Texas, had 47 solo tackles, 34 assisted tackles and 12 sacks. Robertson proved to be a vital part of the struggling defense and recorded at least one sack in 10 of 12 games this season.
Now he’s an All-Big 12 linebacker, according to the Associated Press and the Big 12 coaches, and should be on the preseason list going into 2015. His 12 sacks lead the league and he’s easily the best outside linebacker coming back in next year.
