You’ve read our Season in Review series for 2014, now it’s time to rank the Texas Tech football position groups based on their performance throughout the year.

9. Defensive Line

For the fifth year in a row, Texas Tech’s defensive line was sparse, undersized, unreliable and talentless. With the exception of Branden Jackson, who himself had a down year, none of these guys could start for anyone else in the Big 12. Whoever replaces coach John Scott will need to develop the JUCO guys quickly if the defense wants to be any better next year.
