Kevin McCullar
Asking freshman Kevin McCullar to take his game to a higher level than what we saw from him on Tuesday night when he had 10 points, five rebounds, and three steals would be unfair. It was his best performance yet in a Red Raider uniform.

But it is fair to ask him to become a consistent player who makes performances such as that more of a common occurrence. That’s why today could be an important game for him.
Coming off of just his third 10-point game of the year, will he be able to build upon the momentum and confidence he has been building over the last two games? If so, the Red Raider bench becomes significantly deeper and stronger.
Against West Virginia, McCullar impressed with six points and four rebounds in 20 minutes of action in a game that was the type when the men are separated from the boys. But it still took him eleven shots to get his six points and four of those shots were from deep. He made none of those four.
Tuesday, the San Antonio native was much more efficient. His ten points came on just six shots and he got the line seven times.
After that performance, Beard called him the player of the game. Now, he has to follow that up with another game in which he no longer looks like a freshman who is simply trying to figure things out and keep his head above water but rather, a player who is ready to be a significant contributor on a Big 12 contender.
