KSU leads the Big 12 in turnover margin

One area that has to worry Tech fans after two games in turnovers.  Giving the ball away three times to Texas, the Red Raiders were sloppy and it cost them a huge win.

More from Wreck'Em Red

They had best take better care of the football this weekend because the Wildcats have forced six turnovers on the season, most in the conference.  What’s more, KSU has yet to give the ball away.

When you look at Tech’s four giveaways on the year, one common denominator is clear, Alan Bowman.  That’s because his four interceptions are the only turnovers Tech has lost so far in 2020.

Turnovers have played a role in this series recently and almost always, they have benefitted the WIldcats.  During the current four-game KSU winning streak, the Wildcats have an edge over the Red Raider of 7-3 in the takeaway department.

Four of the Kansas State turnovers gained have been interceptions.  That’s surprising given that the Wildcats are last in the Big 12 in pass defense efficiency allowing opposing passers to have a 173.3 rating while also surrendering nine TD passes on the season.

It seems like this game could come down to Alan Bowman vs. the KSU pass defense and that is a matchup that should favor Tech.  But the Wildcats have been opportunistic so far this year and Bowman must refrain from giving the ball away like he’s done so far this year.
