Jakeem Grant, WR and Returner, Cleveland Browns

One of the most electrifying players in Texas Tech history, Grant has quickly become one of the NFL’s most dangerous kickoff and punt returners. After making his first Pro Bowl with the Bears this past season, Grant signed with the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately, his season ended before it even began. Grant tore his Achilles in training camp and was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. The team hopes he will recover for 2023.

Dawson Deaton, C, Cleveland Browns

The Browns have quickly turned into Texas Tech North. Deaton was drafted in the seventh round by Cleveland to help bolster the offensive line depth. Unfortunately, much like Grant, his season ended in training camp. Deaton tore his ACL early in camp and is out for the season. He hopes to make a full recovery.
