The Texas Tech Red Raiders open fall camp in early August. Joey McGuire and his program head into 2023 with some of the highest expectations in years. For the seniors and super seniors, it is one last ride to try to win a Big 12 title and bowl game. Every college senior has eyes on the future and for football the NFL is the ultimate dream.

Several Red Raiders from the 2022 squad were either drafted or received invites to team’s training camps. Texas Tech returns several starters from last year’s team and a good amount are upper classmen who arrived through the transfer portal. All are looking to have another successful season and take the leap to the pros.

Tech has not had a huge number of players drafted in the past several seasons. However, there are a few standouts on the 2023 team who could be destined for the NFL if they succeed their senior seasons. Some of the players mentioned may not have started their college careers in the scarlet and black, but they have each won over the hearts of Red Raider Nation these past few seasons.
