There’s not much better than getting the chance to watch two rivals meet up with stakes that include a national championship. And while the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns aren’t exactly competing directly for a national championship in Game 7 of the Women’s College World Series, this game will certainly still impact what that looks like.

The winner of this game gets a much easier route to competing for a spot in the WCWS championship series. The loser of this game will then drop on over to the elimination bracket and have to battle a bit of a tougher road to get to that same series.

The winner of this game will just need one more win to make it on to that finals series. The loser of this game would need to win three more games and avoid losing at all. A loss here and then a loss in the elimination bracket would send that team packing.

So yeah, this game definitely matters and has some pretty high stakes.
