Week 10 of the 2025 college football season is officially here and we’re getting closer and closer to this season coming to a close. It’s been a pretty special one for the Red Raiders up to this point and there’s a chance that it continues to be thrilling.

But Texas Tech isn’t the only team in the Big 12 and there are a ton of games happening this weekend. So, if you’re a Red Raider fan sitting at home looking to find Big 12 games you need to watch, here are three you should keep up with.

Okay, we’re going to start off with an easy one: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Kansas State Wildcats.

And yeah, sure, this is a Texas Tech blog for Texas Tech fans, we should obviously keep up with the Red Raiders as they head up to Manhattan to take on the Wildcats. But there’s also a level of intrigue that could take place here if we just look at things objectively for a moment.

Kansas State has managed to win three of its last four games, has figured out things on offense thanks to its offensive coordinator Matt Wells (yes, the former Texas Tech head coach), and the Red Raiders are entering this game with a couple of very noteworthy quarterback injuries. Oh, and it’s in Manhattan, where Texas Tech has struggled to win.

And if Kansas State finds a way to upend Texas Tech and spoil the Red Raiders’ season? Well, things will get interesting for Joey McGuire and the boosters spending a bunch of money to make this season special.

College football schedule, week 10: What Big 12 games should Texas Tech fans watch this weekend?

Next on the list: West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Houston Cougars.

I’m not picking this game because I believe West Virginia is particularly impressive, but I find Houston interesting and I also find it interesting the way the Mountaineers tried to make a comeback against the TCU Horned Frogs last weekend.

I think it’s worth noting that Houston’s offense has been sporadic and has tendencies to be underwhelming. I also think it’s worth noting that they can beat a ton of teams by just playing great defense and just enough offense. And I suspect that’ll be the case on Saturday vs. West Virginia. But if the Mountaineers can do what they did against TCU and stay in it, maybe this one gets interesting late.

And it would certainly benefit Texas Tech to see Houston stumble in this game.

Wrapping things up: Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Utah Utes.

I’ve been so impressed by the way Cincinnati has performed throughout the season. They’ve responded so well to that season opening loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers (which was a lot closer than I think so many people expected it to be) and the Bearcats have really made a statement by starting off 5-0 in Big 12 play.

Utah is having a solid season as well and the Utes would obviously like to get back into the mix for contending for a conference championship this year. Back in August, I don’t think many Utah fans had this game circled as a high profile one that could drastically change the outlook of this season for them, but that’s where we are.

If Utah wins, we get even more chaos at the top of the Big 12. If Cincinnati wins, we get to see the Bearcats continue to cement their status as a Big 12 championship contender and possible College Football Playoff contender. And that’s fascinating. Oh, and Texas Tech needs Cincinnati to lose a game here or there. It'd be nice if Utah could help out a bit.
