Today's Big 12 baseball action is interesting. There are 11 teams playing in nine games and all of the games are technically set up as non-conference games. Which is odd. Two of the games happen to exclusively feature Big 12 members. And both of those games are non-conference games. They won’t count towards the Big 12 standings.Â
Also, just a reminder, there are 14 baseball teams in the Big 12. Nothing makes sense anymore. Numbers don’t matter.
Anyways, let’s take a look at what the schedule looks like for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the rest of the Big 12 as we get to see a bunch of baseball this afternoon and evening. Here’s what you need to know about the schedule today.
Every Big 12 baseball game on March 31: Here’s what you need to know
- Utah Utes vs Utah Valley Wolverines at 3 p.m. in Orem, Utah
- Kansas State Wildcats vs. BYU Cougars at 4 p.m. in Provo, Utah
- Kansas Jayhawks vs Missouri Tigers at 4:30 p.m. in Columbia, Missouri
- Wright State Raiders vs Cincinnati Bearcats at 5 p.m. in Cincinnati, Ohio
- Lamar Cardinals vs TCU Horned Frogs at 6 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas
- Tarleton State Texans vs Baylor Bears at 6:30 p.m. in Waco, Texas
- Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Dallas Baptist Patriots in Dallas, Texas
- Abilene Christian Wildcats vs Texas Tech Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. in Lubbock, Texas
- West Virginia Mountaineers vs Arizona Wildcats at 8 p.m. in Tucson, Arizona
The schedule gets started out west as the Utes will head to Orem for an in-state matchup with Utah Valley. Still in Utah, we get to see the Kansas State Wildcats meet up with the BYU Cougars in a non-conference matchup.Â
Back in the midwest, the Kansas Jayhawks will head to Columbia to meet up with the Missouri Tigers. After that, outside of the Oklahoma State matchup with the Dallas Baptist Patriots, there’s not a ton of stuff that is on the surface super interesting. West Virginia’s late game with Arizona is intriguing to end the day though.
