Well. Yeah. Losing to Arizona State wasn’t much fun for Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. It wasn’t much fun at all. It sucked. Truly, it was awful. Epecially on the offensive side of things. Yeah, the defense was suboptimal and it seemed like Arizona State was able to accomplish just about whatever it wanted, but the offense was alarmingly bad.
Texas Tech scored a season-low 22 points, had a season-low of 276 yards of total offense, and just generally seemed completely and totally lost on offense.
And now the Red Raiders are 6-1, 3-1 in Big 12 play, and no longer totally control their own destiny as it pertains to the remainder of the season. With Texas Tech’s struggles, it looks like other Big 12 fanbases are enjoying that a bit. And that sucks as well.
Big 12 fans react as the Texas Tech Red Raiders come up short against Arizona State
There isn’t exactly much sympathy for Texas Tech among Big 12 fans, it seems. For one reason or another, it sure sounds like the Red Raiders have ruffled the feathers of fans from other Big 12 teams. I, for one, have no idea why that might be the case.

looooool dang — this feels great after all the big talk from Tech fans this week on this app

Oh, yeah. The money thing that allowed Texas Tech to drastically improve its roster over the offseason while other teams weren’t able to.
And yeah, the whole roster budget deal is getting memed right now, which is understandable. The Red Raiders lost a game they probably should have won and given the amount they spent on the roster, there are going to be some jokes about that.

Devils win. Tortilla tossers lose.

And this just stinks.

Now Texas Tech gets to figure out how to bounce back from this frustrating and deflating loss. We’ll see what Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders are really capable of.
If they can win out, win the conference title game, and then roll into the College Football Playoff, this season can still be looked at as a success. But we’re going to need to see some drastic improvements from the Red Raiders moving forward. Oh, and Texas Tech might need some help to even get into the conference championship game. That’s not great!
