The Kansas Jayhawks had a chance to spoil Utah’s season and secure a spot in a bowl game in the process. Instead, Kansas football fans had to watch Jalon Daniels throw three interceptions and for the Utes to have an offensive explosion in the fourth quarter, allowing Utah football fans to enjoy seeing their team secure a 10-win season.
Which, you know, depending on who you were rooting for as the Jayhawks and Utes matched up on Friday, you likely had a wide variety of different emotions. Probably very explosive emotions at one end of the emotional spectrum or the other.
Here’s how Big 12 fans reacted to seeing Utah survive a road trip to Kansas and get a really weird 31-21 win in the process.
College football fans weigh in after the Utah Utes handled business against the Kansas Jayhawks
Plenty of Kansas fans are upset with their head coach following this one, which seems a little strange to me, but I’m on the outside looking in for this one (I haven’t paid a ton of close attention to the Jayhawks lately, which probably isn’t a bad thing for my wellbeing and health).
Lance isn’t the guy. Decisions need to be made by Lance about his staff or approach. Or decisions need to be made about Lance. It won’t happen this year, but he probably isn’t your answer if you are serious about winning. I’m off the train.

And yeah, there are just some Kansas fans who are just flat out upset with the way this season has gone for them, which is certainly understandable).

As for Utah fans? They’re now rooting for chaos across the country so that the Utes will have a shot at getting into the College Football Playoff. It seems like they’re on the complete and total other end of the spectrum from Kansas fans right now, which makes sense given that Utah has twice as many wins as the Jayhawks do at the moment.

Ten wins, led by a senior class who knew last year was unacceptable and they worked to lead us back. They will suit up again, together, with our incredible fans to finish this season is style, wherever it may be!

Go Utes!!!!! https://t.co/gwO5GR9HaQ
The Utes won’t have a shot at competing in the Big 12 championship game this season as the Texas Tech Red Raiders and BYU Cougars have locked up both spots in Arlington, but this has been a really impressive season for Utah football.
