The Big 12 got handed another loss this season when the Cincinnati Bearcats decided it would be a pretty good idea to meet up with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Kansas City. Cincinnati, in a game that they probably could have won had a few things gone their way, managed to fall short against the Cornhuskers.

Which, you know, it’s not the end of the world, I suppose. But still, it’s not exactly great for the Big 12 to see Cincinnati lose this game. The conference probably would be at least a bit better off had the Bearcats managed to hand the Huskers a loss.

I mean that from just specifically a conference notoriety and respect sort of angle, not necessarily digging into how Nebraska, its head coach, and its offensive coordinator were all in the Big 12 on a somewhat recent time scale.

Just from the “hey, the Big 12 could use a win over another conference, it’d be nice if Cincinnati delivered that for the conference” sort of way. But that didn't happen.

Big 12 fans sound off after Cincinnati Bearcats fall short against Nebraska Cornhuskers in Kansas City

Here’s what folks had to say after the Bearcats came up short in their matchup with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

It looks like someone may have had some money on the game. Which, you know, the user name checks out, I suppose.

Well, I guess Cincinnati could continue to be patient with Satterfield. I don’t really know how wise it would be to fire him right now. But I really don’t know the overall pulse for that football program right now.

Some folks just weren’t happy about how this one played out. Losing this game, in this way, probably wasn’t all that fun for Cincinnati fans. They were close to having a win over a respectable opponent, and it just didn’t work out that way for them.
