The Big 12 got handed another loss this season when the Cincinnati Bearcats decided it would be a pretty good idea to meet up with the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Kansas City. Cincinnati, in a game that they probably could have won had a few things gone their way, managed to fall short against the Cornhuskers.
Which, you know, it’s not the end of the world, I suppose. But still, it’s not exactly great for the Big 12 to see Cincinnati lose this game. The conference probably would be at least a bit better off had the Bearcats managed to hand the Huskers a loss.
I mean that from just specifically a conference notoriety and respect sort of angle, not necessarily digging into how Nebraska, its head coach, and its offensive coordinator were all in the Big 12 on a somewhat recent time scale.
Just from the “hey, the Big 12 could use a win over another conference, it’d be nice if Cincinnati delivered that for the conference” sort of way. But that didn't happen.
Big 12 fans sound off after Cincinnati Bearcats fall short against Nebraska Cornhuskers in Kansas City

Good teams win. Great teams cover. https://t.co/iopMIAc0H2

It looks like someone may have had some money on the game. Which, you know, the user name checks out, I suppose.
I don’t think we should give up on Coach Satt. He loves his players and is building a strong culture. His RB dives and QB draws may take time, but once the line clicks, the offense will roll. He’s proven he can turn programs around, he deserves our support and an extension.

Well, I guess Cincinnati could continue to be patient with Satterfield. I don’t really know how wise it would be to fire him right now. But I really don’t know the overall pulse for that football program right now.
Fire Satterfield.

I’d like to thank our athletic Director John Cunningham for giving away a home game to Nebraska. I can’t wait until we get to a point when this man is no longer is making the decisions for our athletic program.

The worst coached game I have ever had to watch in my life. I can’t believe we actually hired this idiot. https://t.co/RZeXlrs1Y3

Some folks just weren’t happy about how this one played out. Losing this game, in this way, probably wasn’t all that fun for Cincinnati fans. They were close to having a win over a respectable opponent, and it just didn’t work out that way for them.
