Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raider football team will be hitting the road this weekend to meet up with a pretty interesting Kansas State Wildcats team that has underachieved for much of the season but has managed to hit a hot streak as of late.

And that game could be an intriguing one to keep up with for general Big 12 fans. Obviously I suspect most people who are going to read this particular post on this particular blog to keep up with the game at 2:30, but there are just other games that will be worth watching as well.

There aren’t quite as many interesting games on the docket this weekend, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some games worth keeping up with.

2025 college football schedule, week 10: What Big 12 games are on this week?

  • 11 a.m. - West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Houston Cougars - FS1
  • 11 a.m. - UCF Knights vs. Baylor Bears - ESPNU
  • 12 p.m. - Arizona State Sun Devils vs. Iowa State Cyclones - TNT/HBO Max
  • 2:30 p.m. - Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Kansas State Wildcats - FOX
  • 3 p.m. - Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Kansas Jayhawks - ESPN+
  • 6 p.m. - Arizona Wildcats vs. Colorado Buffaloes - 6 p.m. - FS1
  • 9:15 p.m. - Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Utah Utes - ESPN

Take the UCF vs. Baylor matchup, for example. Dave Aranda is on the hot seat. A very, very hot sort of hot seat. He absolutely can’t afford to lose any more games. And UCF isn’t particularly impressive this season in the second iteration of the Scott Frost era of football down in Orlando, but the Knights look good enough to put an end to a reeling season like Baylor’s.

Or the Arizona State vs. Iowa State matchup. Both of those teams expected to be competing in the Big 12 championship game this season. Both of those teams could end up losing their head coaches to more prominent programs this coaching cycle. I’m intrigued!

At the end of the day, for the folks who want to drink a bunch of coffee and stay up late, Cincinnati and Utah will be meeting up. The Bearcats are looking like a very real and legit conference contender and the Utes are trying to get into a place where they could compete for the conference title game. This game could be huge!
