I don’t know if there is a team in the country that is currently more stressful than the Arizona State Sun Devils. I don’t know if there is a team in the country that happens to be involved in more heartburn-inducing games than Kenny Dillingham’s Arizona State football team this season.
Once again, the Arizona State Sun Devils managed to go out and win an incredibly stressful sort of football game. Once again, the Sun Devils went out and got a win, but I can’t imagine just how infuriating that had to be as an Arizona State football fan.
I’m sure I’ll write about this more at some point somewhere, but it truly is something else seeing the Sun Devils routinely get involved in these sorts of games. Because they just managed to stay theoretically alive in the Big 12 championship race as they survived a home game and very stressfully beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 25-23.

The Sun Devils are technically still in that race for the No. 2 spot in the Big 12 standings. Technically. It might theoretically be possible that Arizona State makes it to the Big 12 championship game, but the Sun Devils are definitely going to need some help and for the Big 12 to get a little chaotic.
