I don’t think anyone is going to be shocked to learn that the Texas Tech Red Raiders didn’t struggle much when facing off against the Winthrop Eagles in what was Texas Tech’s final men’s basketball game of the 2025 calendar year.

I mean, we’re talking about a near effortless win for the Red Raiders. This is a game in which they shot 50 percent from the field, made 88.5 percent of their free throws, and hit on 38.5 percent of their three point attempts.

Texas Tech looked good in its 87-57 win over the Eagles. And I, for one, would appreciate it if the Red Raiders played like that in every single game that they played, but I’ll take what I can get.

Christian Anderson led the way with 29 points as he made 8-of-13 from the field, 4-of-9 from behind the three point line, and then 9-of-9 at the free throw line. And he probably could have scored even more if he really wanted to!
