There weren’t many Big 12 teams involved in college softball games this evening (and not a ton of consequence happened Tuesday evening), but the No. 2 ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders are holding on tight to their spot that they’ve earned at the top of the Big 12 standings.

The Red Raiders (35-2 overall, 11-1 Big 12) manage to get right past the Abilene Christian Wildcats in just five innings. Texas TEh’s winning streak now sits at 10 games. But the Red Raiders weren’t the only team out there winning in the midweek match ups.

Iowa State managed to beat North Iowa while Baylor beat Incarnate Word in Waco and the Houston Cougars went down to Corpus Christi to beat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Here’s where the Texas Tech softball team stands in the Big 12 after the 10th straight win for the Red Raiders

While Tuesday evening’s games didn’t impact the Big 12 conference records or standings in any way, there’s still a few updates for the conference following the midweek matchups. So, let’s take a look and get those updated.

  • Texas Tech Red Raiders (35-2 overall, 11-1 Big 12)
  • Arizona Wildcats (27-8 overall, 9-3 Big 12)
  • Kansas Jayhawks (25-10 overall, 6-3 Big 12)
  • Oklahoma State Cowgirls (25-10 overall, 7-5 Big 12)
  • Baylor Bears (22-12 overall, 5-4 Big 12)
  • UCF Knights (28-10 overall, 6-6 Big 12)
  • Utah Utes (25-11 overall, 4-5 Big 12)
  • Iowa State Cyclones (21-13 overall, 3-6 Big 12)
  • Arizona State Sun Devils (28-9 overall, 3-6 Big 12)
  • BYU Cougars (11-22 overall, 2-7 Big 12)
  • Houston Cougars (18-21 overall, 1-11 Big 12)

Because nothing changed in the conference end of things, Texas Tech still holds a two-game lead over the Arizona Wildcats (largely because the Red Raiders own a couple of wins on their record over the Wildcats from about a month ago).
