Week 1 is here and we’re actually kind of in the midst of it. It’s Saturday, yes, but we’ve already seen SEVEN games involving Big 12 football teams take place so far this week. That’s because there were four games on Thursday and then three games on Friday.

Which means some teams won, some teams lost, and the Big 12 standings and records have shuffled around a little bit.

Teams like the Baylor Bears, Cincinnati Bearcats, and the Colorado Buffaloes stumbled down a bit because they lost their Week 1 matchups.

Big 12 standings ahead of Texas Tech’s week 1 matchup: Where do the Red Raiders stand in the conference right now?

Here’s what things look like in the Big 12 right now:

  • Iowa State Cyclones (1-0 overall, 1-0 Big 12)
  • Kansas Jayhawks (2-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • UCF Knights (1-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Houston Cougars (1-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Oklahoma State Cowboys (1-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Arizona Wildcats (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Arizona State Sun Devils (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • BYU Cougars (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • TCU Horned Frogs (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Texas Tech Red Raiders (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Utah Utes (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • West Virginia Mountaineers (0-0 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Baylor Bears (0-1 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Cincinnati Bearcats (0-1 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Colorado Buffaloes (0-1 overall, 0-0 Big 12)
  • Kansas State Wildcats (0-1 overall, 0-1 Big 12)

Obviously, it’s still super early on in the season and there is plenty that will change even today. There aren’t any Big 12 conference games happening today, so Iowa State will get to sit alone at the top for a little while longer.

That said, we’ll get to see a few more Big 12 teams pick up non-conference wins to build upon their overall records, and that’ll be good to see.
