Just one win for the folks in Stillwater this season. One win. The Oklahoma State Cowboys managed to get a win to start the season and then subsequently followed that up by losing 11 straight games. Which, you know, seems suboptimal.

But that’s also why Oklahoma State has moved on from Mike Gundy, picked up a new head coach in Eric Morris, and will be looking to build for the future.

Meanwhile, the Iowa State Cyclones managed to survive their trip to Stillwater as they secured a solid season. It wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and there’s no doubt that Iowa State actually underachieved a bit based on what they were expecting prior to the start of the year, but an 8-4 season isn’t anything to be all that upset about.

With Matt Campbell at the helm, the Iowa State football team looks capable of being consistently solid. They may not be great, but Campbell is going to keep winning a solid number of games in Ames while he’s the head coach there. And right now, they’re poised to go secure a 9-win season, which would be really good!
