Folks, we’ve got some women’s basketball to watch. While the bulk of the Big 12’s women’s basketball games will take place on Sunday, we’ve still got three interesting matchups to pay attention to on Saturday afternoon.

Sure, yeah, Texas Tech isn't playing today, but that doesn't mean that there aren't games to watch.

There’s not too many games to keep up with this afternoon, and really none of them are going to drastically change the outlook of the national landscape, but there’s certainly plenty to keep up with in the Big 12 today.

Saturday afternoon’s women’s basketball slate set with Big 12 tournament bracket seeding on the line

Here’s what this afternoon’s Big 12 women’s basketball schedule looks like:

  • Colorado Buffaloes vs. BYU Cougars - 3 p.m. - Provo, Utah
  • Kansas Jayhawks vs. Oklahoma State Cowgirls - 5 p.m. - Stillwater, Oklahoma
  • Arizona Wildcats vs. Utah Utes - 6 p.m. - Salt Lake City, Utah

None of these games are going to be absolute dealbreakers if you can’t watch them, but there are certainly some very interesting things to keep an eye on here.

Colorado, at 20-9 overall and 11-16 in Big 12 play, is set to take on a BYU team that can certainly give the Buffaloes some trouble here. BYU has won a couple of games and is riding a little momentum as they try to build their postseason resume.

Then there’s the game in Stillwater where Oklahoma State is fighting to boost its resume as well. Kansas, who just handed Texas Tech a loss, is on a three game streak and could be an interesting team to keep up with if they keep winning. They’re on a hot streak at the right time.

And then after we get through this slate of games, Sunday is going to be kind of interesting as well. We’ll get five matchups on Sunday afternoon and into the evening and that includes a thrilling and intriguing matchup between the Baylor Bears and the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth.
