While he may not have had the biggest impact of any specific member of the Texas Tech defense while he was on the field, Bryce Ramirez brought a ton of experience to the Red Raiders and there’s no way that his presence wasn’t valuable for this team as it went on to win the Big 12 this season.

Earlier in his career, Ramirez had to navigate various different injury issues. And so, he didn’t get a ton of playing time in his first few seasons. But in 2025, Ramirez managed to support the Red Raiders with his experience and depth.

He also managed to make an impact on Texas Tech’s special teams this past season. That versatility matters.

Here’s the highlight reel that the Red Raiders put together for Ramirez as he looks to take his talents to the next level with the NFL Draft finally upon us.

Ramirez was really solid throughout the season as he added depth to a Texas Tech defense that was loaded with talent. This is a guy who was truly a key part of being the heart and soul of the Red Raiders defense and made some solid tackles on special teams.

Against the Houston Cougars, Ramirez managed to rack up four tackles and it was clear that he was stepping up when Texas Tech needed him to while on the road against a team that ended the season with 10 wins. When facing the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Ramirez recorded three tackles and was consistent in a 42-0 shutout of a Big 12 foe.

Ramirez is ending his college career after having played in 41 games across five different seasons in Lubbock. During that timeframe, he accumulated 67 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. He also managed to pick off a pass during the 2024 season and also forced and recovered a fumble in 2025.
