Can No. 21 Texas Tech find a way to bounce back against one of the Big 12’s best?

The way that this season started for Krista Gerlich and the No. 21 Texas Tech Lady Raiders made it seem like the Texas Tech women’s basketball team would be more than capable of thriving all throughout the season and not experiencing any sort of turmoil along the way.

And then Texas Tech’s perfect 19-0 start was marred a bit as the Lady Raiders fell short against the Kansas State Wildcats (one of the Big 12’s worst teams so far this season) as they lost by six points at home in Lubbock.

Then came the second loss for the Lady Raiders as they fell on the road against the BYU Cougars and lost by 12 points in Provo, Utah. Losing back-to-back games really made it feel like Texas Tech had come crashing back to earth.

How did Texas Tech respond to that road loss? By pummeling the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City, winning 77-49. That felt good. It felt like Texas Tech could respond to rough circumstances and get dominant wins again!

And then there’s another loss, this time against the Iowa State Cyclones back in Lubbock by 14 points, which sucked.

So, how does Texas Tech respond to this one?

Can the No. 21 Texas Tech Lady Raiders overcome some adversity and put an end to their recent struggles when they face No. 12 TCU?

It’d be really helpful if the Lady Raiders were set to meet up with one of the Big 12’s worst teams this weekend. Unfortunately for us and Texas Tech, the Lady Raiders are getting the opportunity to play one of the Big 12’s best.

The TCU Horned Frogs, tied for the top spot in the Big 12 rankings, are going to make it difficult for the Lady Raiders to get moving back in the right direction. It’s fair to say that Gerlich and the Lady Raiders haven’t faced this sort of adversity in this season.

So, how do the Lady Raiders respond? It wasn’t that long ago that they were climbing in the rankings and unbeaten. Will we see a return to form for Texas Tech? Or will this season continue to spiral in a very frustrating way?
