One of the best things that Joey McGuire could have done this past offseason was to prioritize the defensive side of the ball for the Red Raiders. And he did just that. Texas Tech has drastically improved its talent level and it even went out and got a brand new defensive coordinator to help revolutionize the Red Raiders defense.

Among many of the new faces on that side of the ball are a collection of defensive line transfers that have a chance to drastically improve Texas Tech’s defense as a whole.

And because of that, the Red Raiders’ new defensive line is ranked as a top impact transfer, according to Pro Football Focus.

And I’m here for that.

I imagine most Texas Tech fans will be as well. And it looks like college football fans from all over the place are enjoying that.

Texas Tech’s entire defensive line was ranked as a top impact transfer player and college football fans are loving it

Here’s how college football fans are reacting to the entirety of Texas Tech’s newly constructed defensive line being considered one of the best transfers in the country heading into the 2025 college football season:

Folks are on board with this! They’re loving it!

It’s fantastic and great and the Red Raiders definitely needed some help in this area, but it’s great that college football fans are thoroughly enjoying seeing this sort of quirky ranking for TTU.

I mean, college football fans from just about everywhere loved seeing the Red Raiders’ brand new defensive line ranked up there. And it’s definitely an area where Texas Tech stands to benefit from having some new faces present.

I’m looking forward to seeing just what this group is capable of. It’s certainly got a lot more talent assembled together, but there are a ton of new faces present and many of these guys haven’t played together before. It’ll be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out.
