While the First Lady of ESPN's College GameDay might be Nick Saban's wife, Miss Terry, the First Gentleman is undeniably Kirk Herbstreit's dog, Peter.
When the Saturday-morning show came to Lubbock, and legendary Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes (heard of him?) came back to town, the Red Raiders made sure to treat Peter to all of the perks that the program had to offer.
As the football team donned Mahomes' iced-out uniforms, thanks to an extremely $15-million donation to the program's NIL fund, Peter also got to enjoy a little "ice out" of his own.
With a Raider red bandana and his very own press pass, Peter was the star of the show, even as Mahomes took the stage alongside the rest of the cast on College GameDay.

Herbstreit has grown even more beloved for bringing his furry friends with him on the road as he travels to every corner of America, covering both NFL and college football games. After the heartbreak that the entire nation felt last year when his dog Ben passed away, Peter quickly refilled the hearts of football fans across the country.
Kirk Herbstreit's dogs always get the best treatment in town
Just a few weeks ago, when the ESPN cast took a trip to Eugene to cover the Oregon Ducks, Peter got his own gift box, filled to the brim with treats and custom Duck tennis balls. He also gets on-field access and even gets to go squirrel hunting as Herbstreit takes a tour of each campus.
The crowds filled to the brim with hundreds, if not thousands, of college students and fans always greet Peter with the warmest welcome. That was no different in Lubbock, even as the show started the weekend at 8 a.m. CT, and it was a mere 45 degrees to start the day.

Immediately after the show wrapped up its weekly selections, and everyone other than Herbstreit (because he was calling the game) picked the Red Raiders, No. 8 Texas Tech and No. 7 BYU kicked off in the Big 12 showdown of the weekend.
