Since the turn of the century, the Texas Tech football program has been known for producing high-profile wide receivers. Jerand Bradley never really got to that level despite showing periodic flashes of talent during his three years as a Red Raider but he is a player that many Tech fans remember. Now, in 2025, after a year in the ACC, Bradley will be returning to the Texas Tech orbit but as an opponent.

Set to be a super-senior in 2025, the Frisco, Texas native has signed with the Kansas State Wildcats as a transfer. There, he will reunite with his former Texas Tech head coach, Matt Wells, who is the Kansas State offensive coordinator.

Bradley did not make much of an impact for Boston College in 2024, his first season after leaving Lubbock via the transfer portal. He caught only six catches for 94 yards and two TDs in nine games.

To be fair, though, this year, the Eagles offense wasn't really built around this new invention known as the forward pass. B.C. threw for only 2,290 yards and 24 TDs as a team this year. Ranking 109th nationally in passing yards per game and 114th in pass attempts per game, the Eagles preferred to keep the ball on the ground running it 486 times while throwing it only 289 times.

In fact, Lewis Bond led Boston College in receiving yards with just 590 yards. Thus, there simply were not many opportunities for Bradley to make his mark. That's likely why he's looking for a new place to call home.

Bradley signed with Tech in the class of 2021. That year, he played sparingly catching five passes for 99 yards.

A season later, he showed some promise with 51 catches for a team-high 744 yards and six touchdowns. That lead to 2023 preseason All-Big 12 honors.

However, Bradley didn't live up to the hype in his third season in Lubbock. He caught only 36 passes for 431 yards and four TDs as a junior.

Because Bradley and the rest of the Red Raider receivers didn't come through in Joey McGuire's second season as head coach at Tech (2023), the program underwent an overhaul at the position by bringing in transfers Josh Kelly from Washington State, and Caleb Douglas from Florida. That sent Red Raider receivers like Bradley, Loic Fouonji, and Myles Price looking for new places to play via the portal.

Now, Bradley is back on Tech's radar as a future 2025 opponent. Texas Tech will travel to Manhattan, Kansas next fall and the hope is that Bradley doesn't have a huge revenge game against his old team like so many former Red Raiders have over the years.
