Texas Tech Red Raider fans have every right to be thrilled right now. For the second straight season, Gerry Glasco and the Texas Tech softball team managed to officially clinch the Big 12 regular season championship.

Sunday afternoon, as the Red Raiders beat the Arizona State Sun Devils with a 7-1 victory (to complete a road sweep of the Sun Devils in Tempe), Texas Tech was able to secure yet another Big 12 title. The second since Gerry Glasco was hired and the Red Raiders have gone all in on elevating the Texas Tech softball program.

Which, you know, all of this is happening in the span of back-to-back seasons. So, that’s good. It’s a lot of very new (and very exciting) momentum for the program. And it’s a lot to be excited about.

Texas Tech softball fans are celebrating a second straight Big 12 regular season title after the Red Raiders sweep Arizona State

Here’s what Texas Tech softball fans had to say after the Red Raiders won the Big 12 regular season crown for a second straight season.

Understandably, Texas Tech fans are over the moon about this one. As they should be. The Texas Tech softball program is in an incredibly great spot right now and there’s a lot to be proud of for the Red Raiders right now.

And of course, it’s also great to see Red Raiders in other parts of the Texas Tech athletics department chiming in and sharing their thoughts. And it’s really cool to see this from Krista Gerlich, whose Texas Tech Lady Raiders basketball team has taken incredible strides forward as of late.

There’s still a few chances to get out and watch the Red Raiders before the postseason push begins. If you can, you should take advantage of it.

The Big 12 tournament in Oklahoma City will be played from May 7 through May 9. After that, the NCAA Regionals will get started on May 15. The postseason will be here before we know it.
