Time and time again, this Texas Tech softball team has proven itself to be incredibly dominant and capable of crushing folks in a number of different ways. On Friday night, in the final road trip of the season, the Texas Tech Red Raiders went to Arizona State and managed to hand the Sun Devils a shutout beating to start the series in Tempe.
In game one at Farrington Stadium, Kaitlyn Terry tossed a complete game against the Sun Devils and happened to strike out seven opposing batters while only allowing a couple of hits to Arizona State. Terry is now 19-1 on the season when in the circle and has been a huge reason that Texas Tech has been as good as it is this season.Â
Arizona State stands as one of the few teams in the Big 12 who could cause problems for Texas Tech and it showed early on as the first few frames of the game were scoreless.Â
It also showed as Arizona State pitcher Kenzie Brown struck out 10 of Texas Tech’s batters in 6.0 innings of work this evening.

The dam did burst a bit in the fourth inning as Texas Tech was able to take advantage of a few minor pitching miscues from Brown and Taylor Pannell hammered a two-run home run to give the Red Raiders a 2-0 lead.
