College football season is starting. Big 12 football is here. We’ve got three Big 12 teams playing in Week 0 and the Kansas Jayhawks are the third of said three Big 12 teams.

And if you ask the computers and calculations behind ESPN Analytics, you’ll find that the Jayhawks actually have the best chance at getting a win of any of the three Big 12 teams competing in Week 0. And while this isn’t a Kansas site, Texas Tech does happen to be a member of the Big 12 and we absolutely should pay close attention here.

It’s good to know what’s going on with our neighbors.

Also, you know, Kansas plays Texas Tech later this season. So, you know, it’s worth keeping up with what the Jayhawks are actually capable of doing when they face off against the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday in Lawrence.

ESPN Analytics Matchup Predictor sure seems to think Kansas will take down Fresno State with relative ease

Checking in with the ESPN Analytics Matchup Predictor and its predicted matchup here, it looks like Kansas should be able to cruise to a relatively easy victory. Or, you know, I would think that is likely to be the case.

That’s because said Matchup Predictor from ESPN is giving Kansas an 89.8 percent chance of coming out on top. And that seems to be a pretty confident sort of prediction here.

The Jayhawks are a bit of a mystery program and it’s hard to tell just how good they’ll be this season. On top of that, Fresno State is definitely from the G5 and it’s also kind of hard to set reasonable expectations for what some of those teams are going to be capable of in any given year.

And this year, Kansas and Fresno State will meet. And we’re soon going to see how these two teams measure up against one another.
