Gerry Glasco and the Texas Tech Red Raiders aren’t the only Big 12 softball team who will be busy this afternoon. Heck, the entirety of the conference is going to be ABSURDLY active today as there are 17 different NCAA softball games on the schedule for the Big 12 today.
I mean, we’re talking about from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. start times. While conference play hasn’t started yet, there’s still plenty to try to keep up with as teams continue to work on building momentum ahead of Big 12 play getting going.
Of course, for Texas Tech fans, the Red Raiders returning home this weekend is the biggest story. And today, the No. 2 ranked Red Raiders will meet up with the North Texas MEan Green as part of the Jeannie McHaney Memorial Classic in Lubbock.

It’ll be interesting to keep up with it all, but specifically in Lubbock, Texas Tech will be fun to watch. The Red Raiders managed to get a 24-0 run-rule win over the Abilene Christian Wildcats last night. Now they’re looking to build upon that and just keep rolling. Glasco has Texas Tech looking like a team that’s borderline impossible to stop.
