Two of the worst teams in the Big 12 get the distinct pleasure of playing this week. We’re about to see the 1-win Oklahoma State Cowboys head down to Orlando, Florida to meet up with the 4-win UCF Knights in a game that is bound to do something weird and clunky.
The UCF Knights have been incredibly underwhelming throughout the season and they’re doing everything they can to avoid last place and to make it to a bowl game this season. This is a must-win. It’s never a good thing to be forced into this sort of spot when facing a team that has an interim head coach and is in the midst of one of the worst seasons in program history.

Is there anything interesting about this matchup between two very underwhelming teams?
Well, the Oklahoma State Cowboys are going to need a new head coach soon. If they can make the right sort of hire (someone like Eric Morris from North Texas or Alex Golesh from South Florida would really do well in Stillwater) then we might see the Cowboys get back to being a very interesting team sooner rather than later.
Especially if the Oklahoma State boosters are able to wisely and strategically apply their resources into getting the right talent acquired for their new coach.
But as for this game? Is it interesting? I mean, no, not really. UCF is probably going to come out on top of this one. The really truly interesting thing that could happen here is if we somehow magically see an upset with Oklahoma State coming out on top. That’d be kinda fun to witness. Other than that? I can’t think of much here that intrigues me.
