Friday evening (or rather Friday night/Saturday morning), the Oregon Ducks managed to send the Ole Miss Rebels home via a 10-inning elimination game that was full of impressive plays, fascinating moments, and a bit of heartbreak and a heaping of anxiety. With Ole Miss getting eliminated, there are now just six teams remaining in the 2025 Women’s College World Series bracket.

On Saturday, we’re going to see the four teams left in the winner’s bracket face off against each other. Two teams are going to stay on that side of the WCWS set up. Two teams will end up heading on over to the elimination bracket to meet up with the likes of the Oregon Ducks and the Tennessee Lady Vols.

Who is left in the winner’s bracket?

The Texas Longhorns (a new addition to the Southeastern Conference that is absolutely having fun and thriving this season), the Oklahoma Sooners (another former Big 12 team that moved on over to the SEC doing incredibly well in their new conference home), the Texas Tech Red Raiders (the only Big 12 team to make it to OKC and a true underdog doing incredibly well), and then the UCLA Bruins (one of two West Coast Big Ten teams left in the tournament).

2025 Women’s College World Series bracket update: What’s next for the Oregon Ducks after Ole Miss was eliminated?

With the Rebels heading home, here’s what’s up ahead for the Oregon Ducks after last night’s marathon of a matchup:

The winner of the Oklahoma vs. Texas matchup in Game 7 will stay in the winner’s bracket. That’s great for them. The loser, meanwhile, will face off against the Ducks in the elimination bracket in Game 10 of the 2025 Women’s College World Series.

Oregon and the loser of Game 7 will then need to win three games to get into the Women’s College World Series finals series. Each of those three games will then also be elimination games. A loss at any point will send them home. No pressure or anything, you know?
