Small forward: Darrion Williams

The returnee most likely to start next season is Darrion Williams. After all, he had an excellent sophomore season for the Red Raiders and over the course of the year, he became one of the most dependable players on McCasland's team.

His 11.4 points per game were the third-most on the team and will be the most of any returning player from last year's squad. Additionally, he led Tech in rebounding at 7.5 boards per game.

When big man Warren Washington went down for a month with a foot injury in February, Williams stepped up his game. He averaged 14.9 points and 8.8 rebounds in the eight games that Washington either missed or was severely limited by his injury.

The 2023 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year at Nevada took a step forward in his first season in the Big 12 and earned third-team All-Big 12 recognition. It will be exciting to see what he can do next season for the Red Raiders.
