Big 12 football. . . . . . 9. . 514.

Life was humbling for Deion Sanders last year in his first year as a major conference head coach. Colorado wound up just 4-8 overall and 1-8 in PAC 12 action.

This year, Sanders is doubling down on his transfer portal philosophy. He's brought in 34 transfers in total.

That includes seven offensive linemen as he tries to fix what was his team's most glaring flaw a season ago. If that transformation works, he could have the star power at QB with Shedeur Sanders and at WR with two-way player Travis Hunter to field a potent offense.

However, the schedule is not easy. Road trips to Arizona, Texas Tech, Kansas, and UCF will be challenging for a program that won only twice away from home last season.
