For the last two games, the Texas Tech football program has been without its best corner, Bralyn Lux. That is apparently going to change tonight when the Red Raiders take on Arizona in Tucson.

According to a report by The Dallas Morning News, Lux is expected to return to the field for Texas Tech's second road contest of the year. That's great news considering the fact that Arizona features arguably the best wide receiver in America, Tetairoa McMillan, who has caught 29 passes for 503 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Lux has been dealing with a hamstring injury for the past two games. What's more, he's missed three of the five games his team has played this season.

In week one, he did not play against Abilene Christian and his absence was missed. That night, ACU racked up over 600 yards of offense with over 500 of that coming through the air. Fortunately, the Red Raiders were able to survive that scare 52-51 in overtime.

He returned for the next two games where he had one tackle against Washington State and two tackles and a pick-six against North Texas. However, he's missed the past two games.

Fortunately, Tech was able to go 2-0 the past two weeks without him. Still, it would have been nice to have him in the mix for the wins over Arizona State and Cincinnati.

While the Sun Devils threw for only 282 yards on Tech in week four's 30-22 Texas Tech win, the Bearcats managed to post 426 passing yards against Tech last week in a 44-41 loss to the Red Raiders.

Tonight, the Red Raiders will welcome Lux back into the mix but the secondary may not be at full strength. Starting safety Chapman Lewis left last week's game with his own hamstring injury and is questionable to play this evening.

Still, to have Lux back could be a massive boost for the struggling Red Raider defense. Here's hoping he can make an impact as he matches up with one of the best wideouts in the NCAA.
