Texas Tech had a vintage Red Raider home performance at the free-throw line

Another area where Tech has excelled this year, at least when things have gone well, has been free-throw shooting. That's one of the reason Tech's offense has been so good, especially at home.

Against UCF, it could be argued that the line was the difference in the game. Tech was able to hit 13-15 (86.7%%) of its attempts.

Meanwhile, the Kinghts went only 8-12 (66.7%) at the line. Thus, in a seven-point win, Tech won the free-throw battle by five points while UCF also left four points off the board.

The Red Raiders have often made more free throws than their opponent has made this year. That includes Big 12 games against Texas, Kansas State, BYU, and now UCF.

However, in recent losses to TCU and Baylor, Tech was severely on the short end of the free-throw battle. That's a critical stat to watch in all Red Raider games and one that went the way of the good guys on Saturday.
