Texas Tech, believe it or not, has never played these FBS teams
Here's a look at all of the FBS teams that the Texas Tech football program has never faced.
Texas Tech vs. Sun Belt Conference
Of the 14 teams in the Sun Belt Conference, Tech has played only two: Arkansas State and Texas State. The Red Raiders took on the Arkansas State Red Wolves in 1995. That game proved to be a 63-25 win in Lubbock. Meanwhile, Tech took on Texas State from 2011-13 winning all three of those matchups with ease.
This conference might be one that the Red Raiders look to schedule in the future though. That's because most of these programs would be willing to take a payday to play in Lubbock and not ask for a return home game. However, some of these programs like Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, and Troy are dangerous and have beaten major conference teams on the road in recent years.
