Rayshad Williams

Defensive Back

Las Vegas Raiders

Undrafted Free Agent

Rayshad Williams is an intriguing free agent to watch. That's because there aren't a lot of undrafted free-agent defensive backs who are 6-foot-3.

That size is likely why he's getting a shot with the Las Vegas Raiders where he will reunite with former Texas Tech teammate Tyree Wilson. But does Williams have the athleticism to make it in the NFL?

In college, he began his career at UCLA before coming to Texas Tech in 2021. Over his five collegiate seasons, he was credited with 136 tackles and 26 pass defenses.

However, Williams never got his hands on an interception at the college level. That lack of turnover productivity along with questions about his speed and fluidity is why he didn't hear his name called this past weekend.

Still, his size gives him a chance to make it with the Raiders. He can battle bigger receivers or slide down into the slot and check athletic tight ends and every NFL team needs players who can fill those roles.
