Sometimes, when it rains, it pours. That's been the case for the Texas Tech football program in the class of 2025 lately, especially along the offensive line.

Since June 18, Joey McGuire and his staff have picked up four verbal commitments from high school offensive linemen. The latest, Ren Brown, announced his decision on Friday.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Nebraska is rated by 247Sports.com as a 3-star prospect. He's listed as the No. 11 player in his state and the No. 112 offensive tackle in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

It was a quick recruitment for Brown. He was offered a scholarship by the Red Raiders on May 17 and this past weekend, he was in Lubbock for an official visit. Now, he's announced that he wants to call Lubbock home.

In addition to Tech, Brown holds offers from Oregon State, Air Force, Army, and others. What's more, just this week, he picked up an offer from Kansas State. Given how well the Wildcats seem to produce offensive linemen, landing any player that KSU wants at that position group is a great development for the Red Raiders.

Tech now has 16 players committed in the class of 2025. That recruiting haul currently ranks No. 31 nationally.

In addition to Brown, Tech has commitments from offensive tackle Garin Maley (who is also from Nebraska) as well as interior offensive linemen Elias Gillen from South Dakota and Patrick McMath from Katy, Texas. With four linemen now in the fold, one has to wonder if the Red Raiders will close the book on that position group, at least as far as the high school ranks are concerned for 2025.

Either way, it is great to see this program prioritizing the O-line and trying to establish a high school pipeline at that position. Hopefully, that investment will pay off down the road.
