Texas Tech is undefeated against one Big 12 program

Cincinnati Bearcats (0-0-1)

The only Big 12 team the Red Raiders have never lost to is also one they've never beaten. New conference member, Cincinnati has only faced Tech once, a 10-10 tie to open the 1968 season in Lubbock. The two programs will meet again in Lubbock next season.

Texas Tech is undefeated against these Conference USA programs

Florida International Panthers (2-0-0)
Sam Houston State Bearkats (2-0-0)

There are only two Conference USA teams that Tech is unbeaten against. In 2005, the Red Raiders destroyed the FIU Panthers 56-3 in Lubbock, and in 2021, they did the same with a 54-21 win at Jones AT&T Stadium.

In-state opponent Sam Houston hasn't had much better luck against the Red Raiders. Now a member of the FBS, the Bearkats lost to Tech in 2005 and 2015 when they were still part of the FCS (formerly Division I-AA).
