Baylor has made two high-profile splashes in the portal this offseason with Miami transfer Norchad Omier and Duke transfer guard Jeremy Roach. While Roach will be a solid point guard in Waco for Scott Drew, it is Omier who could be a game-changer.

Last season, the 6-foot-7 forward put up 17.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 assists per game. That earned him All-ACC second-team recognition.

In every year of Omier's college career, he's averaged at least 12.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Thus, he's a walking double-double.

He began his collegiate run at Arkansas State before transferring to Miami. Now, he's got one year left and he's going to spend it trying to help Drew's program make another run to the Final Four.

This coming season, Baylor will be an interesting study. They haven't hit the portal hard in terms of numbers with only three additions thus far. However, they have added three of the top 65 high school players in the class of 2024.

In the Big 12, youth isn't usually the way to win these days. That's why bringing Omier and Roach, two high-profile seniors on board was so critical for Drew.
