Though the summer might be a slow time for college football fans, it is a busy time for programs and coaches as the recruiting cycle kicks into high gear. Now that there is an early signing window in late December, the recruiting calendar has changed from the fall being when many players make their college decisions to the summer being the prime spot for players to commit to schools.

June is especially busy for Texas Tech with the program set to host many high-priority targets this month. Currently, Tech is working on a top-25 class for the 2025 cycle with 12 players already committed to this cycle's haul.

However, there are plenty of spots to fill and plenty of work to be done before this class is anywhere close to being completed. So let's take a look at three elite players who are set to be on campus in Lubbock this week.

Bryson Jones - WR

At first glance, Texas Tech is in great shape at the wide receiver spot. However, the program is always going to try to add more talent at that critical position.

One player who will be in Lubbock for an official visit this week is Bryson Jones, a wide receiver out of Frisco, Texas. Could he become the next big-time pass catcher to call Texas Tech home?

Jones is rated by 247Sports.com's composite rankings as a 4-star player. He's listed as the No. 60 overall player in Texas and the No. 59 wide receiver in America for the class of 2025. As a junior, he caught 64 passes for 1,092 yards and 15 TDs on 17.1 yards per reception.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder also runs track for his high school and that is no surprise give that Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire covets speed at all positions. What's more, McGuire seems to be drawn to players who excel in multiple sports at the high school level.

Jones is also drawing interest from the likes of Arkansas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, and many other programs. According to 247Sports, he has already taken an official visit to Arkansas and has plans to be in Lubbock from June 7-9. He will also reportedly visit Pitt and Texas A&M later this month.

Should Tech land Jones, it would make the future of the wide receiver position quite bright in Lubbock. In the most recent recruiting class. McGuire and his staff landed 5-star All-American Micah Hudson while in the class of 2025, the program has secured a commitment from 4-star WR Tristan Gentry, the No. 30 wide receiver in America. Now, Tech hopes to add Jones to that wide receiver talent pool.
