Houston got a taste of life without star guard Jamal Shead in the Sweet 16 when he was lost for the game with an injury in their loss to Duke. Now, they will have to find a way to permanently replace the 2024 Big 12 Player of the Year as he's off to the NBA.
Guard LJ Cryer is one of three other key seniors that Houston is also losing this offseason. However, the Cougars appear to be reloading via the portal.
Four-star Oklahoma transfer point guard Milos Uzan will take over Shead's role. Can he repeat Shead's success? If so, Houston will be tough to deal with once again in 2024-25.
